Conclusion! Spiritual Training Part 22

(Document only, with special features)
1. How can I sum everything up in three words?
2. These three words could possibly be the most important words in our life.
(1) Jesus!
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. NKJV
(2) Study!
2 Timothy 2:15
Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. AMP
(3) Apply!
James 1:22
But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. AMP
3. A drifting thought of discouragement in the mind can ruin a day.
4. As the person thinks about the discouragement, they begin to speak about it.
5. It will cause them to do nothing expect feel sorry for themselves.
6. The opposite is true as well to manifest encouragement.
7. An evil thought can cause a person to be nonproductive. (Inoperative)
8. The opposite is true as well to manifest a productive day.
9. Keep in mind that our words guide their life.
James 3:3-5
3 If we put bits into the mouths of horses that they may obey us, we guide their whole bodies. 4 Look at the ships also; though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. 5 So the tongue is a little member and boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by a small fire! RSV
10. If a person does not control their thought life who will?
11. We need to control what is coming into our mind.
12. We need to control our thoughts.
13. We need to control what is coming out of our mouth.
14. If we control our thought life our direction and location will be where it should.
15. Speak life to our life.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life]. [Matthew 12:37.] AMP
16. Let me go back now to what I said earlier.
17. What we speak (Words) can defile us.
18. However, the question is how do we reverse our defilement?
19. In other words, once we sin and mess up then what?
20. First, let me define sin according to scripture. (What is sin?)
21. There are many ways I can go on this subject.
22. Therefore, I will keep it simple as I can.
James 4:17
Whoever knows what is right to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. RSV
23. Consider the undo button on a computer.
24. Because I said how do we reverse our defilement from sin?
25. Also consider, the following verses from God’s word from the New Testament.
1 John 1:7-9
7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. RSV
Short commentary on 1 John 1:7-9
26. “Following salvation, Christians are still capable of sin despite the radical change which has taken place in their lives, and they still need to be cleansed.
27. 1st John deals with this practical problem.
28. There are three aspects to this cleaning:
(1) The means of cleaning—the blood of Christ (1 John 1:7)
(2) The method of cleaning—confession of sin (1 John 1:9)"
(3) The measure of cleaning—from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)”
This example helps me.
(Washed) Wash machine using Soap.
(Sanctified) Set apart on the clothesline.
(Justified) Results clean.
29. Keep in mind these verses.
Proverbs 28:13
3 A man who refuses to admit his mistakes can never be successful. But if he confesses and forsakes them, he gets another chance. TLB
Revelation 1:5-6
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, 6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. NKJV
1 Corinthians 6:11
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. RSV
Hebrews 9:13-14
13 For if the sprinkling of defiled persons with the blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a heifer sanctifies for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. RSV
Romans 5:9
9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. NKJV
Colossians 1:14
14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. NKJV
Romans 10:8-10
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. NKJV
30. God has already made available everything we need however actions need to take place.
James 1:22
2 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. NKJV
